Le podium provisoire est encore perturbé jeudi soir : il n’y a plus qu’un homme en tête de la Makuuchi et un duo pour la Juryo ! Vers la mi-journée, le public a été informé de l’abandon de Nishikifuji (6-6), blessé au cou.
En deuxième division, Sadanoumi retombe dans le haut du peloton après sa sortie du dohyo par Tsurugisho. De son côté, Wakanosho confirme sa place en repoussant Kagayaki et Fujiseiun en fait de même contre Meisei.
En première division, Kotozakura se jette sur Abi pour le soulever derrière la ligne. Aonishiki reste le leader solitaire en accompagnant Atamifuji au premier rang des spectateurs !
On termine le douzième jour avec les yokozuna. Kirishima élimine Hoshoryu de la course à la coupe de l’Empereur, et Onosato évince Takayasu.

The provisional podium is still disrupted on Thursday evening: there is only one man left in the Makuuchi breakaway and a duo for the Juryo one! Around midday, the audience was informed that Nishikifuji (6-6) had withdrawn with a neck injury.
In the second division, Sadanoumi fell back to the top of the pack after getting out of the dohyo by Tsurugisho. For his part, Wakanosho confirmed his place by pushing Kagayaki away and Fujiseiun did the same against Meisei.
In the first division, Kotozakura threw himself at Abi to lift him behind the line. Aonishiki remains the lone leader by accompanying Atamifuji to the front row of spectators!
We end the twelfth day with the yokozuna. Kirishima eliminated Hoshoryu from the race for the Emperor's cup, and Onosato ousted Takayasu.
