Nous voici à la fin du premier acte de ce tournoi de printemps, et les deux têtes de course sekitori se retrouvent chacune avec un duo ! Les leaders ont "facilement" géré leurs matchs aujourd’hui…

En Juryo, Fujitensei n’a eu aucune chance d’échapper à la charge de Nishikigi… Kazuma de son côté reste "irréprochable" face à Tamashoho, tout comme Wakanosho contre Takerufuji.

En Makuuchi, Takanosho reste serein devant Onokatsu. Takayasu conserve lui aussi sa place en écartant Yoshinofuji. Pour finir avec la san’yaku, Fujinokawa et Churanoumi ont bien tenu tête à Aonishiki et Hoshoryu, mais cela n'a pas suffi...

Les MVP jeudi sont déclarés.

Makuuchi : Takayasu et Takanosho dominent à 5-0, mais un premier peloton de huit hommes à 4-1 est derrière eux (dont Hoshoryu et Kirishima). En bas du tableau, on retrouve trois individus à 1-4. Avec 0-5, Wakamotoharu , Onokatsu et Oshoumi recherchent désespérément un point…
Juryo : Wakanosho et Kazuma se battent à 5-0, suivis par quatre lutteurs avec 4-1. Si Tsurugisho est "inexistant" à 0-5, ils sont cinq sur la deuxième marche la plus basse 1-4.

In Juryo, Fujitensei had no chance of escaping Nishikigi's heavy charge... Kazuma on his side remains "faultless" against Tamashoho, as does Wakanosho against Takerufuji.

In Makuuchi, Takanosho stays calm in front of Onokatsu. Takayasu also kept his place by dismissing Yoshinofuji. To finish with the san'yaku, Fujinokawa and Churanoumi held their own against Aonishiki and Hoshoryu, but it wasn't enough...
