Mercredi, il n’y a déjà plus qu’un trio d’hommes invaincus dans l’échappée Makuuchi et quatre en Juryo. L’abandon d’Onosato (0-4) a été communiqué très tôt dans la matinée, la situation actuelle du yokozuna rappelle celle vécue par son shisho fka Kisenosato en 2019… La "bonne" nouvelle cependant est l’annonce du retour d’Onokatsu (0-2-2) pour demain.

En deuxième division, Fujitensei a mené une rude bataille pour sortir Kotokuzan afin de rester dans la tête de course. Quelques instants après, Toshinofuji perdra sa place en se faisant éliminer par Dewanoryu.

Tamawashi marque un nouveau record en participant à son 1,471° match en première ligue ! La fête sera malheureusement de courte durée, le vétéran se fait renverser par Shishi. Plus tard, Kotoshoho conserve son avantage en plaquant Oho sur la ligne.

L'ancien ozeki Takayasu devient ce soir le sekitori le plus gradé qui a un score "parfait" de 4-0, en conduisant Kotozakura directement dans le couloir menant au dohyo. On termine avec Hoshoryu, le Grand champion perd l’équilibre face à Fujinokawa ; le Maegashira n°2 inscrit ainsi son deuxième kinboshi.

Les trois étoiles au quatrième jour sont distribuées de la manière suivante.

On Wednesday, there is already only a trio of unbeaten men in the Makuuchi breakaway and four in Juryo. The withdrawal of Onosato (0-4) was communicated very early in the morning, the current situation of the yokozuna is reminiscent of the one experienced by his shisho fka Kisenosato in 2019... The "good" news, however, is the announcement of Onokatsu’s return for tomorrow (0-2-2).

In the second division, Fujitensei fought a tough battle to knock out Kotokuzan to stay in the lead. A few moments later, Toshinofuji lost his place; being eliminated by Dewanoryu.

Tamawashi marks a new record by participating in his 1,471° game in the first league! The party was unfortunately short-lived; the veteran was knocked down by Shishi. Later, Kotoshoho maintained his advantage by tackling Oho on the line.

Former ozeki Takayasu became tonight the highest-ranked sekitori with a "perfect" score of 4-0, leading Kotozakura directly into the corridor to the dohyo. We conclude with Hoshoryu, the Grand champion lost his balance against Fujinokawa, the Maegashira N°2 thus scores his second kinboshi.
