Ca y est, nous sommes à la conclusion du tournoi de printemps. Comme pour chaque compétition, vous retrouverez sur une autre page le détail des champions et des prix spéciaux, mais regardons tout d’abord les actions de cette dernière journée de combats.

En Juryo, Dewanoryu se fait voler un point précieux par Takerufuji alors que le disciple d’Isegahama-beya tire le chignon de son adversaire. Un mono-ii est pourtant réclamé, mais les shimpan ferment les yeux pour se concentrer sur le reste du corps… Plus tard, Hatsuyama essuie quelques gifles et prises à la gorge pour pousser Wakanosho hors du dohyo.

En Makuuchi, Takayasu "se réveille" enfin après une semaine catastrophique (1-7 depuis le nakabi). Il arrive à contrôler Atamifuji et lui faire mettre un genou à terre.

Depuis l’annonce de son sacre vendredi, Kirishima semble absent et se fait sortir aujourd’hui par Kotozakura. Pour terminer la quinzaine, Hoshoryu met fin aux espoirs d’Aonishiki, l’ozeki confirme ainsi son statut kadoban pour le mois de mai…

Parlons un peu des play-offs…

La Jonokuchi en a eu deux, Aron a effacé Kojikara avant Shosei.
En Jonidan, Asahifuji affrontait l’ancien J12 Kiryuko.
En Sandanme, l’ancien J5 Nabatame s’est chargé de Hogasho.
Enfin, pour la deuxième division, Dewanoryu gagne contre Wakanosho.

That's it, we are at the conclusion of the spring tournament. As with every competition, you'll find details of champions and special prizes on another page but first let's look at the actions of this last day of fights.

In Juryo, Dewanoryu is robbed of a precious point by Takerufuji while the disciple of Isegahama-beya pulled his opponent's topknot. A mono-ii is nevertheless requested, but the shimpan closed their eyes to concentrate on the rest of the body... Later, Hatsuyama took a few slaps and throat grabs to push Wakanosho out of the dohyo.

In Makuuchi, Takayasu finally "woke up" after a catastrophic week (1-7 since the nakabi). He managed to control Atamifuji and make him kneel.

Since the announcement of his title on Friday, Kirishima seems to be absent, being knocked out today by Kotozakura. To end the fortnight, Hoshoryu put an end to Aonishiki's hopes, the ozeki thus confirms his kadoban status for the month of May...

Let's talk a little about the play-offs...

The Jonokuchi had two; Aron erased Kojikara before Shosei.
