  • Yokozuna et san'yaku

Les deux Grands champions échangent leur place, Onosato devient ainsi le "numéro uno" de l’Association. (photo) Aonishiki fera ses premiers pas en komusubi, brisant le record de l’ascension la plus rapide sur le banzuke : deux ans ! ​

  • Maegashira

Daieisho et Oshoma sont logiquement destitués de la san’yaku, le premier avait déclaré forfait avant Nagoya et le deuxième terminait à 3-12…​

Fujinokawa atteint son meilleur classement en n°9, tout comme les deux compères d’Isegahama-beya Kusano (n°6) et Hakuoho (n° 2).

Quatre hommes retrouvent la Makuuchi : Shonannoumi, Tomokaze, Nishikigi et Ryuden. Ils accompagnent Hitoshi, le poulain d’Oitekaze-beya débutera en première division dans quelques jours.

  • Juryo

Cinq hommes se retrouvent alors relégués : Kotoeiho, Chiyoshoma, Endo, Kayo et Hidenoumi.

Un quintet enregistre sa meilleure position : Daiseizan et Oshoumi (n°1), Mita (n°4), Hatsuyama (n°8) et Miyanokaze (n°10).

Asanoyama est de retour chez les sekitori un an après sa blessure au genou. Il guidera ses deux compagnons de Takasago-beya Asahakuryu et Ishizaki, qu’on devra d’ailleurs appeler Asasuiryu à partir d’aujourd’hui. Nishinoryu (Sakaigawa) et Kyokukaiyu (Oshima) les rejoignent.

Un petit mot concernant les favoris du public…

  1. Enho recule de la 15e à la 31e place des Makushita, tandis que Kawazoe retombe en Sandanme comme n°21.

  2. Tenrosei, le cousin d’Hoshoryu, fait un grand bond en grimpant de la Sd 48 à la Ms 57.

  3. Hikarumusashi, le neveu de Musashigawa-oyakata, est lui aussi propulsé dans la division supérieure, passant de Jonidan 33 à Sd 51.

Je conclurai mon rapport avec les shindeshi de juillet :

  • Sato (Arashio) est Jonokuchi 26

  • Tatsubayama (Futagoyama) est Jk 24

  • Takahara (Futagoyama) et Nishimura (Otowayama) se partagent la 23e place

  • Ryusho, le tsukidashi d’Oitekaze-beya, se hisse en Makushita 40.

Daieisho and Oshoma are logically removed from the san'yaku, the first had withdrawn before Nagoya and the second finished it at 3-12...​​

Fujinokawa reached his best ranking as No. 9, so did the two stablemates of Isegahama-beya Kusano (No. 6) and Hakuoho (No. 2).

Four men returned to Makuchi: Shonannoumi, Tomokaze, Nishikigi and Ryuden. They accompany Hitoshi, Oitekaze-beya’s foal will start in the first division in a few days.

  • Juryo

Five men are then relegated: Kotoeiho, Chiyoshoma, Endo, Kayo and Hidenoumi.

Asanoyama is back with the sekitori a year after his knee injury. He will guide his two companions from Takasago-beya Asahakuryu and Ishizaki, who will have to be called Asasuiryu from now on. Nishinoryu (Sakaigawa) and Kyokukaiyu (Oshima) join them.

A quick word about the public's favorites...

  1. Enho drops from the 15th to 31st place in Makushita while Kawazoe falls back to Sandanme as No. 21.

  2. Tenrosei, Hoshoryu's cousin, makes a big leap by climbing from Sd 48 to Ms 57.

  3. Hikarumusashi, Musashigawa-oyakata's nephew, is also thrust into the upper division, going from Jonidan 33 to Sd 51.
