Le monument érigé en l’honneur des Grands champions au temple Nomi-no Sukune devrait bientôt changer la couleur du shikona de Kitanofuji. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo ci-jointe, le doré représente les personnes décédées. Akebono, décédé en avril dernier, a été modifié dans l’été. Mienoumi, le n° 57, est aujourd’hui l’homme à la corde blanche le plus âgé encore en vie (76 ans).
