Nous sommes à la veille du premier weekend du tournoi d’hiver et nous n’avons plus qu’un seul leader dans chacune des ligues sekitori !
En Juryo, Fujiryoga garde sa position en repoussant aujourd’hui Tsurugisho. Shirokuma ne s’avoue pas vaincu et porte Hidenoumi derrière la ligne.
En Makuuchi, Fujinokawa se fait "bêtement" avoir par Mitakeumi qui tire le n° 12 par la nuque… Takanosho peut fêter son trente-et-unième anniversaire en empochant son premier point de la quinzaine contre Takayasu.
Un peu plus tard, Aonishiki arrive à réduire la distance défensive d’Ura pour l’envoyer hors du dohyo. Onosato prend la tête des opérations en éliminant Hiradoumi. La journée de vendredi s’achève avec Hoshoryu, Wakamotoharu s’offre le deuxième kinboshi de la compétition grâce à un henka.

We're on the eve of the first weekend of the Winter Tournament and we only have one leader left in each of the sekitori divisions!
In Juryo, Fujiryoga keeps his position by rejecting Tsurugisho today. Shirokuma does not admit defeat and carries Hidenoumi behind the line.
In Makuuchi, Fujinokawa is fooled by Mitakeumi who pulls the No. 12 by the back of the neck... Takanosho can celebrate his thirty-first birthday by pocketing his first point of the fortnight against Takayasu.
A little later, Aonishiki managed to reduce Ura's defensive distance to send him out of the dohyo. Onosato takes the lead by eliminating Hiradoumi. Friday ended with Hoshoryu, Wakamotoharu won the second kinboshi of the competition thanks to a henka.
