四日 Natsu basho, fourth day
Mercredi soir, l’échappée Makuuchi perd encore un membre et se transforme en trio. La mauvaise nouvelle de cette quatrième journée est l’abandon (provisoire 🤔 ?) de Takayasu, blessé à la cuisse.
À quelques minutes d’intervalle, on pouvait voir en Juryo deux duels entre les hommes de Tatsunami-beya et Isegahama, irais-je même jusqu’à dire l’ancienne Miyagino : Enho arrive à se défaire du verrouillage d’Okaryu avant que Toshinofuji repousse Meisei derrière la ligne (photo).
Peu après l’ouverture de la première division, Tobizaru tourne autour de Fujiryoga avant de tomber "tout seul" et perdre son avantage de la veille… Kotoeiho aura plus de mal dans son match mais bénéficie du déséquilibre de Kinbozan pour rester dans la tête de course.
Quelques minutes avant la fin de journée, Wakatakakage assure lui aussi son maintien et met une petite longueur d’avance 11-9 dans sa rivalité contre Daieisho. On termine avec Kirishima, l’ozeki semble en difficulté mais il va faire plonger Ichiyamamoto.

On Wednesday evening, the Makuuchi breakaway lost another member and turned into a trio. The bad news of this fourth day is the (temporary 🤔?) withdrawal of Takayasu, injured in the thigh.
A few minutes apart, we could see in Juryo two duels between the men of Tatsunami-beya and Isegahama, I would even say the former Miyagino: Enho managed to get rid of Okaryu's lock before Toshinofuji pushed Meisei back behind the line (pictured).
Shortly after the opening of the first division, Tobizaru circled Fujiryoga before falling "on his own" and losing his advantage of the previous day... Kotoeiho will have more trouble in his match but benefit from Kinbozan's imbalance to stay in the lead.
A few minutes before the end of the day, Wakatakakage also ensured his survival and put a small lead 11-9 in his rivalry against Daieisho. We finish with Kirishima, the ozeki seemed to be in trouble but made Ichiyamamoto dive.
