Jeudi, l’échappée Makuuchi ne compte plus que deux hommes alors que la Juryo reste inchangée ! On déplore l’abandon de Kotozakura (3-9) et Asanoyama (7-5), blessés tous les deux au dos ou au pied…
En deuxième division, Kazekeno perd l’équilibre dès le - deuxième - coup d’envoi de son match contre Asasuiryu. Kazuma profite alors de cette opportunité pour réduire l’écart en sortant Daiseizan.
Quelques minutes plus tôt, Enho enchaîne les mésaventures depuis lundi : Hatsuyama le jette aujourd’hui en dehors de la zone.
Dans la première ligue, Ura est toujours sur la deuxième marche du podium en enroulant Fujiryoga. Yoshinofuji bloque la progression de Tobizaru avant que Wakatakakage conduise Gonoyama à terre.
La journée se termine avec Kirishima, l’ozeki solitaire relève encore un gros défi en battant Kotoshoho.

In the first league, Ura is still on the second step of the podium by winding Fujiryoga. Yoshinofuji blocked Tobizaru's progress before Wakatakakage drove Gonoyama to the ground.
The day ends with Kirishima, the lone ozeki takes up another big challenge by beating Kotoshoho.
