Les têtes de course sekitori n'évoluent pas jeudi soir, mais les poursuivants remuent !
En Juryo, Kusano (10-2) garde son petit avantage en soulevant Kotoeiho (8-4).
Chez les Makuuchi, Hiradoumi (5-7) impose le make-koshi à Oho (4-8) avant que Takayasu (3-9) en fasse autant avec Takerufuji (4-8). Aonishiki (8-4) échoue devant Daieisho (9-3), le troisième san'yaku consécutif qu'il n'arrive pas à maîtriser malgré une très belle première semaine de tourni "sans faute"...
De son côté, Onosato (12-0) poursuit sa route avec TROIS POINTS D'AVANCE en se débarrassant aujourd'hui de Hakuoho (8-4). On termine la journée avec une rivalité très serrée entre deux mongols : Kirishima (9-3) remonte à 10-11 en renversant Hoshoryu (9-3) le jour de ses 26 ans [Bon anniversaire yokozuna 🥴].
Pour le bonus, il faut descendre en Makushita où l'on retrouve le grand-frère d'Oho. Naya (Sandanme 4, 4-2) repousse Kawamura (Ms 58, 3-3).

The sekitori leaders aren't changing on Thursday evening, but their pursuers are moving.
In Juryo, Kusano (10-2) keeps his advantage by lifting Kotoeiho (8-4).
For the Makuuchi, Hiradoumi (5-7) imposed the make-koshi on Oho (4-8) before Takayasu (3-9) did the same to Takerufuji (4-8). Aonishiki (8-4) fails against Daieisho (9-3), the third consecutive san'yaku that he was unable to control despite a very good first week of tournament...
For his part, Onosato (12-0) continues his journey with a THREE POINTS LEAD by getting rid of Hakuoho (8-4). We end the day with a very close rivalry between two Mongolians: Kirishima (9-3) comes back to 10-11 by overthrowing Hoshoryu (9-3) on his 26th birthday [Happy birthday yokozuna 🥴].
In bonus, we must go down to Makushita where we meet Oho's big brother. Naya (Sandanme 4, 4-2) held off Kawamura (Makushita 58, 3-3).
